Spine Wave completed limited market release and the launch of the Salvo® 4.75 mm Spine System.
The low-profile Salvo is designed for both cortical bone trajectory and traditional transpedicular approaches. The small stature system features a modular screw design whereby the separate tulip and shank portions of the screw can be assembled in situ after surgical decompression or on the back table prior to implantation.
The system’s modular design offers a full complement of implant options with fewer trays to process and keep onsite to reduce operating costs.
Mark LoGuidice, Spine Wave’s CEO, said, “The 4.75 mm system is just the first of many planned Salvo® System modules to comprehensively address open and less invasive procedures for degenerative, deformity and revision indications.” He continued, “This is a very exciting time for Spine Wave as we recently announced our entry into the biologics market and, in addition to the Salvo® System, we have plans to rapidly build out our spinal hardware portfolio in the coming quarters.”
