Smith & Nephew launched the LENS 4K Surgical Imaging visualization platform for end-to-end 4K imaging, of particular benefit to ambulatory and multi-specialty surgical centers, with minimal equipment management and high flexibility.
LENS 4K features a Camera Control Unit with an integrated light source, ergonomic camera head, image management options and a tablet application. The latest native 4K 3CMOS Ultra High Definition technology plus proprietary image and light processing is intended to yield high-quality color reproduction, image clarity and depth of field.
Buttons on the camera head can be programmed to settings from outside of the surgical field. Setting options include image and video capture, transfer to an electronic medical record, picture archiving and communication systems and report creation for patient communication.
