Sites Medical entered into an agreement to license OsteoSync™ Ti technology to Integrity Implants for its use in its FlareHawk expandable interbody devices. First devices from the partnership will be available for preview at the NASS meeting.
OsteoSync Ti is a highly-porous titanium scaffold that may reduce the potential for abrasion during insertion, and for debris-related inflammation. Preclinical testing has demonstrated bone attachment strength at nearly 2x that of titanium plasma spray and ~7x that of PEEK material at 5-week follow-up.
Sites also has an OsteoSync license agreement with Xtant Medical.
