Shoulder Innovations’ InSet™ Glenoid demonstrated long-term efficacy and safety in total shoulder replacement surgery to reconstruct deficient, arthritic glenoid bone.
A retrospective analysis was performed on 21 of 24 consecutive patients treated with inset glenoid implants. All subjects treated had challenging C-type glenoids, with severely deficient bone. At over nine years of follow-up, there were no revision surgeries, surgical complications or infections reported. Further, patients presenting for follow-up showed no evidence of glenoid loosening.
InSet Glenoid technology has been used in 1,000 glenoid surgical cases within the past two years. The component is a part of the InSet Total Shoulder, which includes the InSet Humeral Short Stem system that gained FDA 510(k) clearance in 4Q18.
