SeaSpine commenced limited commercial launch of its WaveForm C Interbody Implant System. WaveForm C is the first of five 3D-printed interbody devices that the company expects to launch by mid-2021.
This also marks the one-year anniversary of the SeaSpine/restor3d exclusive field-based licensing agreement.
WaveForm C is designed for use in anterior cervical discectomy fusion as part of the Shoreline ACS System or with the Cabo™ anterior cervical plate. Multiple footprints and lordosis options support the ability to intraoperatively address specific anatomical needs.
The implant’s 3D-printed architecture uses WaveForm technology to deliver a highly porous interbody solution, with 65% porous endplates and 75% porous architecture within the body of the implant.
“Staying true to our Fusion Engineered™ philosophy, WaveForm C has been deliberately designed to help achieve fusion by working harmoniously with SeaSpine’s best-in-class allograft demineralized bone matrix offerings OsteoStrand and OsteoStrand Plus,” said Shaeffer Bannigan, Senior Director of Product Development. “We could not be happier to add another material choice to our already successful Shoreline® Anterior Cervical System and will continue to invest in the continued expansion of the cervical portfolio.”
