Safe Orthopaedics was granted regulatory approval of a second-generation of the SteriSpine™ PS system in Japan. Hundreds of the kits have already shipped to the company’s distribution partner, KiSCO, and new deliveries are planned during 2Q20 to make the product available to more hospitals and surgeons, as soon as the COVID-19 health crisis is over.
The device launched in Europe in 3Q19 to collect clinical feedback and document effectiveness of this new generation of kit. More rigid, slimmer and still radio-transparent, it allows an even more minimally invasive approach and can be used on a larger range of spinal diseases.
