RTI Surgical achieved the milestone of 5,000 implants of Fortilink®-C, -TS and -L interbody fusion systems in the U.S.
Fortilink-C IBF for anterior cervical discectomy and fusion launched in 4Q17, and was the first in a family of devices to incorporate TETRAfuse® 3D Technology. The -TS and -L systems followed in 2Q18, for use in lateral lumbar interbody fusion and transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion or bilateral posterior lumbar interbody fusion, respectively.
TETRAfuse 3D features a nano-rough surface with antibacterial characteristics designed to participate in fusion without compromising mechanical integrity or radiographic visibility.
