Intellijoint Surgical announced regulatory approval in Japan for Intellijoint KNEE. This milestone marks Intellijoint’s second product for orthopaedics in what they maintain to be the world’s largest computer-assisted surgical navigation market.
Intellijoint KNEE is enabling technology that provides real-time measurements of surgical cutting guides during total knee replacement. It is compatible with all implant vendors, allowing the seamless addition of enabling technology to existing product portfolios.
Intellijoint HIP was launched in Japan in 2021. Worldwide, Intellijoint products have been used in over 50,000 hip and knee replacement cases.
“We are excited to allow additional access to our technology in Japan with our second product entry in the market. We are proud that our Intellijoint KNEE technology will benefit recipients of total knee arthroplasty in Japan,” says Armen Bakirtzian, Co-founder and CEO at Intellijoint.
