Panther Orthopedics received FDA 510(k) clearance for PUMA™, a flexible system indicated for Syndesmosis Fixation, Hallux Valgus Reconstruction and Tarsometatarsal Fixation.
Unlike stiff metal screws, PUMA was designed to allow anatomical joint motion with continous compression. A 2.8mm pilot hole preserves bone tissue, and the flexible fixation device is offered in one size that can be trimmed to fit anatomy.
One year ago, in March 2017, Panther Orthopedics announced a Series A investment from Medeon Biodesign, an incubator group based in Taiwan that develops medical devices for minimally invasive procedures across a range of specialties, including orthopaedics.
