ConforMIS (CFMS) reports the sale of >50,000 patient-specific knee replacement implants to date. The company markets iTotal® CR, iTotal® PS, iDuo® and iUni® devices, having introduced iUni and iDuo in 2007, iTotal CR in 2011 and iTotal PS in 2015 (full launch for the latter occurred in 1Q16).
CFMS is convening a Patient Ambassador Summit of U.S. recipients of iUni, iTotal CR and iTotal PS devices in one or both knees, ranging from earliest to more recent patients.
Recently-released study results from an independent, prospective, single-center, 62-patient investigator-initiated study indicated that total knee patients receiving iTotal CR outperformed recipients of off-the-shelf implants in terms of length of stay, discharge within 24 hours, discharge to home vs. SNF, etc.
