OrtoWell Distractor Used in Lateral Spinal Surgery

OrtoWay announced the first use of the OrtoWell® distractor in a lateral, minimally invasive surgical fixation procedure as part of a corpectomy.

OrtoWell is a novel, hydraulically-powered system comprising disposable and non-disposable parts, designed to hold vertebral bodies apart during anterior surgery. It is approved for most anterior approach procedures; other applications include treatment of degenerated discs, tumor removal and various situations where vertebral distraction is required.
