Founded in 1984 and based in the U.K., OrthoD specializes in devices for joint reconstruction, sports medicine and infection control, with products such as bone cement systems, knee/shoulder soft tissue fixation and wound drainage. In 2015, OrthoD was appointed as exclusive global distributor of BioPoly® partial joint resurfacing products and RoG Sports Medicine PEEK suture anchors; in 2016, it entered a partnership with MicroAire to distribute powered instruments and pulsed lavage systems in the U.K., and with SurgaColl Technologies to distribute HYDROXYCOLL bone graft substitute in the U.K. and France.
Apposite seeks to expand OrthoD's export channels—currently in 40+ countries—and further commercialize its sports medicine line with new products.
