Ortho Kinematics (OKI) closed US $4MM in debt financing. Funds will support global commercialization of the Vertebral Motion Analysis (VMA) product for radiographic assessment of spinal motion and instability, as well as launch of new product features.
The debt financing was completed amongst current investors.
In a summary of investor activity throughout 1H15, we noted that:
At end of 1Q14, >1,000 patients had been tested with VMA since limited commercial launch in late 2013. Since then, that number has increased to >4,000.
Since 2009, OKI had raised ~$27MM via Series A-C rounds, debt financing and venture capital. Today’s announcement brings that total to >$31MM raised.
