Ortho Kinematics (OKI) closed a US $18.6MM Series D equity financing. Funds will support development and commercialization of Vertebral Motion Analysis (VMA) technology for radiographic assessment of spinal instability and alignment.
VMA entered limited launch at the end of 2013; full launch commenced in 2015. The VMA system has received CE Mark and Health Canada approval. In 2014, OKI partnered with Medtronic to promote VMA’s use to spine surgeons.
