Orthocell received confirmation that Ortho-ACI® Autologous Chondrocyte Implantation is included on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG).
Ortho-ACI for knee and ankle cartilage repair was previously approved for sale in Australia. The inclusion on the ARTG—which represents the first cartilage repair cell therapy on the register—supports reimbursement and wider distribution of the product in Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Singapore.
Orthocell also markets the Ortho-ATI® stem cell treatment, which will be studied for its use in the regeneration of tendons and ligaments through a research collaboration agreement with DePuy Synthes.
