OrthAlign entered into a multi-country distribution agreement with Smith & Nephew (SNN) for KneeAlign® Total Knee Arthroplasty component alignment technology.
Per agreement terms, SNN will distribute KneeAlign technology in 21 countries across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand, to support devices such as the JOURNEY II, LEGION AND GENESIS II knees.
OrthAlign’s Global Vice President of Sales and Marketing, James Kim, noted that approximately 380,000 TKAs occurred throughout Asia, Africa, Middle East, Australia and New Zealand during 2015. To date, KneeAlign has been used in ~40,000 TKA cases globally.
