OrthAlign Milestone: 60,000th Joint Arthroplasty Case

OrthAlign announced completion of the 60,000th joint arthroplasty case employing the company’s handheld precision alignment and positioning technology.

OrthAlign’s computer-assisted technologies support the delivery of real-time data used to achieve precise alignment and positioning of components in total and unicondylar knee and total hip (both posterior and anterior) arthroplasty. Its first FDA 510(k) clearance occurred in 3Q09 for the KneeAlign system. Clearance for ORTHALIGN PLUS for total hip and total knee followed in 4Q13. (See more regulatory activity here.)

Within 2017, the company has received FDA 510(k) clearance to market its Direct Anterior Approach HipAlign system and fully launched UniAlign, the first handheld navigation device for unicompartmental knee arthroplasty.
