OMNIBotics supports implant placement and patient-specific procedure planning with intra-op 3D modeling that doesn’t need pre-op CT scans or x-rays. As well as the potential for rapid recovery due to precision implant alignment, the system boasts cost-effective benefits like a short learning curve in the O.R., fast case turnaround and a small physical footprint. Hospitals also make no capital investment, annual maintenance or software upgrade spend.
The company is developing complementary tools, such as the Active Spacer that gives the surgeon real-time feedback on tissue balancing within the knee during the procedure. Active Spacer gained FDA 510(k) clearance in September.
