The U.K.’s National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) published Interventional Procedure Guidance for minimally invasive sacroiliac (MIS SI) joint fusion surgery for chronic sacroiliac pain, recommending that MIS SI joint fusion be available to properly-diagnosed patients in the National Health System.
The recommendation states that the safety and efficacy of the procedure, based primarily on strong clinical evidence from SI-BONE’s iFuse Implant System®, is adequate provided that standard arrangements are in place.
This is the latest of numerous coverage recommendations for iFuse, which has just reached a milestone of 25,000 procedures performed worldwide since its 2009 launch.
