Warsaw, Indiana-based Lakeland Technology (known as B&M instruments since 1986) was founded in 2007 and is an ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 Certified contract manufacturer. They specialize in manufacturing implants, instruments, complex assemblies, prototypes and custom surgical instruments, assisting with design for manufacturability, precision machining, finishing, inspection and packaging.
Nextremity Solutions focuses on products for the foot, including the InCore® TMT system, Single-use InCore Lapidus Kit, Stratum™ MPJ plates, etc. Certain of their products are distributed by Zimmer Biomet under its i3® Strategic Solutions initiative. The company delivers Revenue Ready® solutions that include packaging and delivery systems, as well as marketing and educational support materials, while providing products with proven sales and clinical efficacy to their industry partners.
“As we evaluated the opportunity, we wanted to ensure that there would be limited disruption in the way we currently operate, who we provide our manufacturing services to, and most importantly our employees. By combining the impressive skills and capabilities of Nextremity Solutions with our strong manufacturing skills we will be able to better serve current customers, and firmly believe that all parties will benefit favorably from this acquisition,” commented Terry Sites, President of Lakeland Technology.
