The European patent office intends to grant another patent for Episurf Medical. The patent, “System of designing a guide tool and/or surgical kit tools and/or an implant comprising a positioning mark,” addresses specific features for accurate placement of Episurf Medical’s patient-specific joint implants.
“Episurf’s Episealer® technology contains a number of delicate features, and the implant positioning solution for correct placement of individualized implants is one of these. This patent contributes to a comprehensive IP protection of our implant technology,” said Katarina Flodström, COO.
