MiRus announced first clinical use and FDA 510(k) clearance of its 3DRâ„¢ (Randomized) Printed Lumbar Interbody Fusion System, comprising the CALLISTO 3DR PLIF, HYPERION 3DR TLIF, CALYPSO 3DR LLIF and ANTARES 3DR ALIF.
With the launch of 3DR, including interbodies with a stiffness of 0.53 GPa, MiRus claims to have developed the lowest stiffness of any interbody in the world and in the same range as cancellous bone.
Jay S. Yadav MD, Founder and CEO of MiRus, said, “With the shift in the market to 3D printed interbodies, the MiRus 3DR Printed Lumbar Interbody Fusion System, designed with a randomized lattice structure that mimics the organic structure of bone, sets the benchmark for matching the stiffness and porosity of cancellous bone.”
