Medigus entered into a development agreement with A.M. Surgical to develop an integrated visualization device based on micro ScoutCam™ technology to complement Stratos™, A.M. Surgical’s product for endoscopic carpal tunnel release. The project budget of $780,000 will be paid based on milestones.
Medigus will provide prototypes and production of the first two batches of the device, which is intended to lend more surgical control and visualization during procedures. micro ScoutCam™ video cameras feature small diameter heads that employ complementary metal oxide semiconductor based sensors for use in medical and industrial applications.
This marks Medigus’ entrance into the orthopaedic market. The company is the developer of MUSE™, an FDA cleared and CE Marked endoscopic device to perform Transoral Fundoplication to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease.
