Medicrea will implement a lifetime warranty on its patient-specific UNiD™ technology, covering all UNiD thoracolumbar and cervical rods and associated components implanted in the U.S. from 11/1/16. At present, Medicrea is the only company to propose a warranty on spinal implants used in posterior spinal fusion.
The warranty is a benefit of the UNiD Lab Premier Service, which includes a real-time support team of biomechanical engineers to assist with all pre-op planning and post-op analytical services.
Over 950 UNiD patient-specific cases have been performed, to date. The patient-specific spinal osteosynthesis rod system launched in Europe in 2Q14, and received FDA 510(k) clearance to market later that year.
