Medacta launched SensiTiN knee systems in the European market. This includes titanium niobium nitride (TiNbN) coated implants for use in total knee replacement and revision.
Medacta SensiTiN system is designed to reduce metal ion release. Leveraging experience gained in with GMK Sphere and GMK Primary TiNbN coated implants, the company is extending this technology to its revision system (GMK Revision and GMK Hinge, shown above). SensiTiN is now a complete system to treat a larger number of patients, from primary to complex revision cases.
A future launch is planned for the Medacta TiNbN coated partial knee.
