Medacta entered the upper extremities reconstruction market with completion of the first procedure using the Medacta Shoulder. Launch is slated for 2018.
The modular system includes a range of sizes, adjustable offset, a variety of configurations and the CT-based MyShoulder 3D pre-op planning solution for patient-specific humeral and glenoid guides. The Medacta Shoulder can convert from total to reverse arthroplasty without the need to revise all components.
Expansion of Medacta’s shoulder portfolio is assisted by the acquisition of Vivamed, its Austrian distributor of 15 years.
