McGinley Orthopedics introduced the Lever Action Plate System™, a dynamic fragment reduction technology that restores volar tilt and articular congruity in distal radius fractures.
The plate features proprietary beams that are inserted into the nonreduced fracture. With the turn of a screw, the beams and the fracture are elevated into the desired placement, with the beams providing independent fixation of the central and radial column while subchondral fixation reduces subsidence. The system includes optional variable angle screws with locking technology.
The plate is used with IntelliSense Drill Technology®, a drill that auto-stops at the far side of the bone and indicates depth measurement for accurate screw sizing.
The Lever Action Plate System currently pending FDA clearance.
