Mazor Robotics announced preliminary 4Q17 revenue of US $19.0MM, +36% vs. 4Q16, and 2017 revenue of $65.0MM, +80% vs. 2016. This represents the company’s highest revenue quarter for 2017.
In 4Q17, the first full quarter of sales since Medtronic took on exclusive worldwide distribution of Mazor X for spine procedures, Mazor received purchase orders for 27 robotic guidance systems: 24 for Mazor X (all but one ordered by Medtronic) and three Renaissance orders for the U.S., Germany and Thailand.
Final financial reporting is slated for mid-February. Full-year results will include an adjusted increase in 3Q17 revenue from $17.2MM to $18.6MM, due to system deliveries to Medtronic that were mis-reported as having been delivered after the quarter’s close.
