Mazor Robotics (MZOR) announced preliminary 3Q17 revenue of US $17.2MM, an increase of more than 225% vs. 3Q16 sales of $7.6MM. Within the quarter, MZOR received 22 system purchase orders from the U.S., Asia and Israel, comprising 19 for Mazor X™ (11 from Medtronic) and 3 for Renaissance from its China distribution partner.
In late 3Q, per agreement terms, Medtronic overtook responsibility for distribution of Mazor X and MZOR transferred a portion of its capital sales team to Medtronic.
