LimaCorporate is acquiring medical device software company TechMah Medical to complement its joint reconstruction implants with software and smart instruments.
Per agreement terms, LimaCorporate will provide funding to TechMah and complete the acquisition as certain product development goals are achieved, progressively becoming sole shareholder over time. TechMah’s founder and R&D team will remain involved with the business. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Dr. Mohamed Mahfouz, Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Tennessee, founded TechMah Medical in 2014 in Knoxville, Tennessee. He holds over 300 publications on implant design, imaging, kinematics, sensors, anthropology and forensics. The TechMah team has expertise in bio-wireless electronics, biomechanics, imaging and software.
