KATOR has been granted additional U.S. patents related to its suture anchor technology.
In the last three months, the USPTO granted four additional patents expanding KATOR’s portfolio to seven issued U.S. patents (additional patents pending).
The newly issued patents are:
- U.S. Patent No. 10,143,462, “Transosseous Suture Anchor Method”
- U.S. Patent No. 10,154,868, “Transosseous Method”
- U.S. Patent No. 10,194,898, “Suture Anchor”
- U.S. Patent No. 10,226,243, “Transosseous Suture Anchor”
The company’s product line includes the KATOR® Knotless Suture Anchor and BoneStitch™ Transosseous Suture Passer for use in arthroscopic procedures. The knotless anchor is designed to lock more strands of suture than any equivalent size device on the market, and allows for suture tension adjustment after the device is fully seated in the bone. BoneStitch enables a fast, reliable technique to simultaneously create a bone tunnel and pass the suture through.
KATOR is founded and operated by Surgical Frontiers, which collaborates with industry stakeholders and investors to bring advanced surgical technologies to the market.
