McGinley Orthopedics marked the milestone of 500 surgeries performed using the IntelliSense® HandHeld Robotics system.
IntelliSense is designed to drastically limit complications during routine orthopaedic surgeries requiring screw and pin placement. The system, which received FDA 510(k) clearance in 2015, uses integrated sensory technology that combines bone drilling and depth measurement into one process during surgery. It features auto-stop bone edge detection and direct lighting to illuminate the surgical field.
The company has also developed the Revolver® Universal Drill Bit Guide and the Equalizer® Offset Reference Guide, as well as saw and pin pilot devices (the latter two not yet launched).
