Integra LifeSciences (IART) announced successful completion of the first ten procedures using the Integra® Cadence™ Total Ankle.
The Cadence design offers enhanced preservation of bone stock and supports re-alignment of the ankle to its native location, and is accompanied by pared-down instrumentation that is streamlined for surgical efficiency.
The system’s anatomic design and streamlined technique complement the clinical history and revision features of the Salto Talaris® and Salto Talaris® XT ankle replacement products, acquired from Tornier in 4Q15. Thus, IART offers options to treat the entire continuum of care in this portion of the extremities market.
The company has plans to launch clinical studies within 2016 to support the Cadence 2-piece ankle, as well as a PyroCarbon hemi shoulder.

- For 2015, Wright Medical posted U.S. INFINITY Total Ankle growth +45% vs. 2014, and noted that the INVISION ankle is not expected to launch until 2017
