Implanet signed an agreement defining the principles of a strategic, technological and financial partnership project with Sanyou Medical, a China-based manufacturer of medical devices for spine surgery.
The collaboration will support marketing of Implanet’s JAZZ® range in the region via a distribution contract. The companies will also co-develop a new range of fixation systems for western markets.
Finally, the collaboration will allow Sanyou to claim a €5 million stake in Implanet via a capital increase.
Sanyou Medical claims to be the second-largest manufacturer of spinal implants in China, and is one of the few companies with the ability to make original innovations based on clinical requirements in the field of spinal implants in China.
