Forma Medical marked the successful treatment of the 15th patient with its OptimalMTP system. Following FDA 510(k) clearance, a limited release began in August and has now concluded. Forma will now commence broad commercialization of the system. OptimalMTP is the world’s first minimally invasive plate and screw solution for MIS fusion of the first metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joint.
“Reaching this milestone with our 15th patient successfully treated is a testament to the speed in which Forma innovates,” said Andrew C. Davison, President at Forma Medical. “Our mission is to empower surgeons with innovative tools that improve patient outcomes, and OptimalMTP is a perfect example of how technology can transform traditional surgical techniques.”
