First surgeries have been performed in the U.S. with Emerging Implant Technologies' (EIT) 3D-printed titanium spinal cages. EIT is now marketing its interbody devices for cervical, ALIF, TLIF and PLIF procedures in the U.S.
EIT received FDA 510(k) clearance to market the devices in early 3Q17.
Outside of the U.S., since 2014, >10,000 cases have been performed with EIT products around the world.
In 2018, the company expects to launch first products based on an acquired portfolio of 22 issued and pending patents covering a complete range of 3D-printed expandable spinal fusion cages for vertical and lateral expansion.
