First Unity Knee with OMNIBotics Cases in the U.S.

Corin announced completion of the first Unity Knee™ cases with OMNIBotics® in the U.S.

OMNIBotics has been used in the U.S. since 2010, introducing the BalanceBot™ robotic ligament tension device in 2017. Since Corin’s acquisition of OMNI lifescience in 2019, the OMNIBotics robotic-assisted procedure has been adding additional implant systems to enhance its overall offering. The Unity Knee indication received FDA 510(k) approval in 2020.

Now, the OMNIBotics Predictive Balance technique can be used with Unity, which utilizes a single radius design, medial referencing instrumentation and natural patella tracking to provide stability throughout range of motion.

The procedure uses the BalanceBot robotic ligament tensioning device to intra-operatively assess the patient’s knee soft tissue structures and plan implant positioning accordingly.
