Initial spine surgeries are complete across the U.S. using implants based on MiRus’ MoRe® superalloy. The company received FDA 510(k) clearance for the MoRe-based Europa™ Pedicle Screw in 1Q19, followed by the CYGNUS™ Anterior Cervical Plate in early 3Q19.
MoRe molybdenum rhenium superalloy is designed to combine strength, ductility, durability and biological safety to support a new generation of small, durable and bio-friendly pedicle screw implants that should result in less soft tissue disruption, fast recovery and better patient outcomes. MiRus seeks to expand its use in applications for foot/ankle, upper extremity and CMF repair.
