Spineway announced completion of the first minimally invasive surgery in the U.S. using the Mont Blanc MIS line.
The procedure was performed on a patient presenting with degeneration at several levels, employing eight pedicle screws and two titanium alloy rods.
Spineway established U.S. operations in late 3Q16, following first FDA 510(k) clearances in 2Q15 for the Blue Mountain Cervical Plate and Mont Blanc Pedicle Fixation systems. The company plans to accelerate R&D to widen application of its technologies and cover a larger range of disorders.
