Nexxt Spine is proud to publicize the first implantation of the NEXXT MATRIXX® Lateral Interbody System. Showcasing technology unique to the NEXXT MATRIXX® line of products, the system is centered around five core pillars for a successful fusion, incorporating an intentionally engineered 3D laser-printed titanium implant.
The NEXXT MATRIXX Lateral interbody is designed to provide increased endplate coverage for stability and fusion potential, while the multiple lordotic options up to 20 degrees assists with restoring or maintaining spinal alignment. When utilized with the STRUXXURE®-L Lateral Plating System, the surgeon is afforded three surgical options for placement including being preassembled to the cage prior to implanting. All of the plate and cage placement options are designed to take advantage of procedural efficiency through a single minimally invasive surgical corridor approach.
Andy Elsbury, President and founder of Nexxt Spine notes, “Our clinicians’ patients benefit from the strength and biocompatibility of titanium, along with a modulus of elasticity comparable to PEEK. Each in-house printed interbody offers architecturally significant geometry including a 75% porous lattice designed to encourage osteointegration and radiographic visualization. The release of this important implant system continues the innovation Nexxt Spine is known for, and is a spring board for additional product advancements for 2021 and beyond.”
