MedShape announced successful completion of first surgeries with the DynaNail® XL TTC Fusion system, and launch of a Quick Compress technique that reduces procedural steps.
DynaNail XL received FDA 510(k) clearance in mid-4Q17. The NiTiNOL-based system is designed to maintain post-op active compression like an external fixator, while offering immediate dynamization in often challenging/complex cases.
Also in 2017, the company launched the DynaFrame™ CF carbon fiber-filled PEEK deployment system for implanting the DynaNail TTC Fusion system. Compared to the original PEEK, the CF system provides up to 18x more rigidity and also includes accommodations for larger patient anatomies.
