EOS imaging partnered with Spinologics to co-develop biomechanical spine surgery simulation tools for integration with EOS imaging’s cloud-based, 3D planning software.
The resulting technology will allow surgeons to plan initial and revision surgeries using EOS’ 3D dataset, taking into account the patient’s stiffness and physiological parameters—of particular value in correcting elderly patient deformity and degenerative spine conditions for which flexibility is diminished. The approach also applies to pediatric surgery.
EOS imaging will hold exclusive sales rights, with an anticipated product release by mid-2017.
