DJO introduced Motion iQ™, a software solution designed to connect the orthopedic surgeon, care team and patient through an entire episode of care surrounding total joint replacement procedures.
The app could potentially have broader reach and adoption than competitive products due to DJO’s existing presence in the pre- and rehab portions of the market, including thermal therapies, bracing, continuous passive motion, etc. DJO plans to expand Motion iQ features and functionality with connected brace solutions.
Motion iQ offers personalized messaging and customized home recovery exercises along with content to reinforce the guidance of the surgical team. Further, it sends the care team continuous health and activity data.
“We are committed to providing patients and surgeons with the meaningful tools to enhance the surgical experience,” said Brady Shirley, CEO of DJO. “The Motion iQ platform transforms the surgeon, practice, and patient experience through an industry-leading digital health solution, and we are proud to launch the first-ever platform that can provide real-time data and tracking to both the patient and care team.”
