CurveBeam, provider of extremity CT imaging products, has developed and validated protocols for the LineUP™ weight-bearing CT imaging system that are compatible with Wright Medical’s PROPHECY™ Preoperative Navigation System and total ankle portfolio. Controlled release will occur at select hospitals and orthopedic practices, to be used in PROPHECY’s virtual pre-op alignment process that creates patient-specific surgical guides, with the potential for the protocol to be available to all LineUP users.
PROPHECY is used with Wright Medical’s INFINITY™ and INBONE™ total ankles and the INVISION™ revision ankle.
LineUP can capture the knees and feet in a single scan session, providing true alignment views of the distal lower extremities in three dimensions. The system is compact, self-shielded and plugs into a standard wall outlet, making it suitable for point-of-care orthopedic settings. The patient is scanned while standing naturally on both feet. Weight bearing CT is unencumbered by overlapping anatomy, and has been shown to be more sensitive and accurate for detection of osteophytes and subchondral cysts than conventional fixed-flexion radiography.
