Corin’s First Optimized Positioning System Procedures in the US

By Julie A. Vetalice

Corin announced the first patient-specific hip replacement procedures in the U.S. using the Optimized Positioning System (OPS™). OPS is reportedly the first FDA-cleared technology to support functional, patient-specific component alignment in total hip replacement.

Corin acquired the OPS system in late 2014. In 1Q16, the company partnered with Intellijoint Surgical for Australia distribution of the intellijoint HIP™, to complement the OPS system.
