Centinel Spine entered into a definitive agreement to sell its global spine fusion product portfolio and related assets to Silony Medical within 45 days.
The divestment allows Centinel to focus exclusively on its prodisc total disc replacement business.
The transaction includes the STALIF technology platform, which has a clinical history of over 30 years and over 100,000 devices implanted. This combines with Silony’s Verticale posterior screw and rod fusion system and its Roccia and Favo Interbody Fusion lines to create a portfolio of occiput to sacrum, posterior, lateral and anterior fusion devices for open and minimally invasive approaches.
“Adding Centinel’s Fusion Products to Silony’s portfolio significantly strengthens our technological and geographic footprint, without cannibalizing products and sales regions,” said Silony CEO Constantin Schoen. “Uniting stand-alone/screw integrated cervical and lumbar solutions with our predominantly posterior capabilities is a logical move, that will further accelerate our global growth.”
