Matrix OI Cortical Fibers are indicated for the treatment of surgically created or traumatic skeletal defects. The product, which comprises 100% human bone, is provided sterile in a range of volumes, is available freeze-dried and has a shelf life of five years. Hydrated Matrix OI Cortical Fibers may be delivered via syringe and open cannula.
CellRight verifies osteoinductivity for all product lots post-sterilization in an in vivo nude rat model. Matrix OI Cortical Fibers are also tested in vitro for the endogenous BMP-2 test marker for osteoinductivity.
