Amplitude Surgical commenced commercial launch of ACLip® for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.
The device, which has been implanted over 850 times in initial launch, is inserted arthroscopically in an outpatient procedure. The two-part design features a cage and endobutton, and instruments include a dual-level reamer that enables the drilling of two bone tunnels of different diameters in one procedure.
ACLip has secured CE Mark approval in Europe, and is slated for FDA 510(k) submission in the U.S. Other soft tissue repair devices from Amplitude include the ECLIPSE resorbable interference screw, the COMETE cortical fixation implant and SUTORTHO suture for tendon and ligament reattachment.
