Amendia announced the commercial launch of the Ceres™ Midline Cervical Plate, intended for anterior screw fixation of the cervical spine (C2-C7) as an adjunct to fusion. The system is indicated for degenerative disc disease, spondylolisthesis, trauma, spinal stenosis, deformity, tumor, pseudarthrosis or failed previous fusion.
The Ceres Midline Cervical Plate has a width of 10.5mm and low profile 2.3mm, is designed for one and two-level surgeries and is available in 18 different length sizes.
This marks Amendia’s fourth product launch in 2016. Earlier this month, the company launched the Ceres™-C Standalone Cervical Interbody Device. In 1Q16, the company launched the inCORPorate™ PEEK Vertebral Body Replacement and the OmegaLIF™ Expandable Interbody Cage.
Earlier this quarter, a majority ownership of Amendia was acquired by private equity firm Kohlberg & Company.
