Amedica announced successful completion of the first spine fusion with the Valeo® C+CSC with Lumen interbody fusion device.
The procedure followed Amedica’s 1Q18 receipt of FDA 510(k) clearance for the device. Valeo C+CsC (cancellous structured ceramic) with Lumen is a composite silicon nitride-based implant manufactured into different material densities in one bioactive unit that is optimized for spinal fusion. It is designed to offer an alternative to implants made of inert metal and plastic that typically require use of bone fillers or surface texturing to support fusion.
